CISCE curriculum has been designed to provide an examination in a course of general education, in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986, through the medium of English. It is an All-India Board Examination that is taken at the end of Grade 10 for ICSE and Grade 12 for ISC.

The ISC examination is recognized by the Inter-Universities Board for entry into a 3-year college system leading to a Bachelor’s degree. Two streams of study are offered at EISB. In each of these streams, English is a compulsory subject; students need to choose three / four additional subjects. SUPW [socially useful productive work] is a compulsory graded subject where they have to get a minimum Grade E to obtain a pass certificate.

Students clearing Grade 10 can apply for admission to this course under Council eligibility rules.
