IBDP STRUCTURE
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) curriculum sets out the requirements for the study of the DP.
The curriculum is made up of the DP core elements and six subject groups. Made up of the three required components, the DP core aims to broaden students’ educational experience and challenges them to apply their knowledge and skills.
The three core elements are:
Theory of
knowledge
Students reflect on the nature of knowledge and on how we know what we claim to know.
The extended
essay
An independent, self-directed piece of research, culminating with a 4,000-word paper.
Creativity,activity
& service
Students complete a project related to these three concepts.
IBDP at EISB
A student-to-faculty ratio of 8:1 means that our faculty know their students well, have the freedom to teach to their fullest capacity and can meet every child’s unique needs with unparalleled care and attention. That’s why they don’t just teach — they inspire and guide students to succeed throughout their journey.
Creativity Activity & Service
Students participate in a wide variety of activities both in and out of school, as coordinated by teachers and in particular the school’s IB CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) coordinator. Students interact with others in the school and are known for their commitment to learning. Our IB students are true protagonists in their growth and learning, and have, in very significant ways, been active participants in the development of the high school program.
