Overview
At EISB, learning for students also encompasses nurturing social and environmental responsibility. Through community service, students inculcate empathy, integrity, and open-mindedness, which encourages them to engage with the world. They also develop leadership skills and become compassionate individuals, aware of their impact on society.
Primary Years
In the primary years, community service empowers students to take action and foster empathy, teamwork, and responsibility. They contribute through donation drives, sustainability projects, and visits to Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, Pragathi Charitable Trust, Goonj, and Swanthana, supporting those in need while developing compassion and leadership skills.
Secondary Years
In secondary school, community service is part of the CAS framework in the IB Diploma Programme. Students engage in projects like organising events, fundraising, and working with nonprofits, promoting personal growth, perseverance, empathy, and social responsibility while enhancing emotional intelligence and open-mindedness.
