EISB hosted a Playnomics Workshop conducted by ISBF for our grade 11 and 12 students on 10th October. The Bulls and Bears interactive stock market workshop focused on providing the students an insight into the complex and robust system that is the National Stock Exchange. This was done through running a mock, controlled simulation. The students participated in the trading of 15 different types of stocks, each with their unique reaction to the supply and demand exhibited by the different teams competing to make the most money.

Our students really enjoyed the workshop and mentioned that now they would be able to pay more attention to real life stock prices.

Once again, EISB, successfully conducted SPELL BEE COMPETITION 2020 for the students of Junior and Middle School (Grades 1 - 8). Of the plethora of opportunities germinating at EISB, this competition in particular presented a platform to all the students to be assessed on the basis of Spelling, Pronunciation and Meaning of Words in English Language. This was held with the aim of facilitating the budding learners to develop a better understanding of vocabulary and the judicious application of the words assimilated for an enriching learning experience of English Language. The Grand Finale (Grades 1 – 8) was held on 21st August, 2020.

Language is indispensable in the holistic development of a student.
“Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters.”
Spell Bee Competition 2020 offered the students of EISB to evaluate their knowledge of English Language.

The spirit of the event was at its peak with the excitement of the students being at an all time high. The event was indeed a grand success in terms of audience participation, vocabulary enhancement of the finalists and the confidence gained by the student-marshals who hosted the show for the Junior School. The zest of confidence displayed by the students intrigued the mentors of the Middle School who were proud to watch their students flying high.

EISB is organizing an INTERNATIONAL IDEA EXCHANGE FORUM. As part of this event EISB students recently collaborated with Jamaluddin School, Male, Maldives. Students from both the countries discussed  the impact of global warming on their respective countries. Intense discussions followed which included topics such as the causes of global warming, its impact on rising sea levels, drowning of islands in Maldives and low lying areas in India, life of people at these places and impact on economy of the respective countries. The Parsi New Year, also known as Navroz, is celebrated to mark the beginning of the new Iranian calendar. The festival falls every year on Spring Equinox around 21st March, but the Parsi community in India follows the Shahenshahi calendar and thus celebrate their new year later in August.
In Persian, ‘Nav’ means new and ‘Roz’ stands for the day, and Navroz translates to ‘new day’. We pray this day notes the new beginning of good health, wealth and prosperity. Happy Parsi New Year!

Independence day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect by our resident staff community of our school irrespective of the Pandemic situation, following all the norms of social distancing, Flag was hoisted by our dear Principal Mr Dinesh Bakshi alongside with our Head of Administration Mr Stephen G Daniel. During the current pandemic circumstances, it is pertinent that we take care of our health. Fruits are the best food option to get essential nutrients like vitamins, fibre, minerals. Fruits are vital for health and go a long way in boosting our immunity. A habit of eating fruits regularly can greatly benefit our children.
With regard to this, EISB will be organising a ‘Fruit Salad Day’ for students of Nursery - Grade 2. We are confident that this activity will prove to be of great benefit for our students. Not only health benefits, it will also boost their creativity when they will rack their brains to find innovative ways of  decorating their fruit salad dish.
