EISB is a 1:1 Apple-enabled school. In our international wing, IPADs are used as an integral part of the teaching and learning process. As research is the core focus of good education, the students are actively engaged in inquiry, research, authentication and presenting information collated from various sources.

At the rise of this COVID 19 pandemic EISB has adapted to new ways of learning. Virtual Learning was effectively implemented by approaching the doors of technology through experts’ eyes. Teachers at EISB were trained by proficient trainers in order to fulfill the learning needs of students from Nursery to Grade 12 by introducing a wide range of virtual learning tools and collaboration platforms.

Following are some of the ways through which the EISB fraternity continues to reach out to the children virtually and helps to maintain their learning curve during this difficult time.

Google Meet, a popular educational video conferencing platform has been used to deliver the course content through the scheduled classes. Teachers use Google Classrooms to post resources/learning materials, schedule assignments and give feedback on a regular basis.

Some of the tools that teachers use in their classrooms in order to make the class interesting and engaging are:

• Google slides/PPT/Keynote- for content presentation
• Quizizz/Google forms/Kahoot/Quizlet- formative assessment through quizzes
• Brainwidget/Mind Master- mind map, puzzles
• Padlet- collaborative activity/reflection writing
• Whiteboard.fi- remote monitoring whiteboard

• PHET- Science practicals through simulators
• EquatIO- Math activities
• Edpuzzle- Interactive videos
• Google Jamboard

Virtual classes are scheduled between 8:30 to 2:55 from Monday to Friday. Parents are regularly updated on the progress of their child through emails. Teachers track daily attendance and alert parents immediately when a student does not attend classes. A weekly summary of the students’ digital classroom assignments are shared at the end of each week, which helps the parent keep track of the work progress of their child.

EISB teachers make use of video conferencing platforms effectively to create engaging lessons.

EISB provides updates of all the events/activities, home study plans, study notes and circulars to the students through a virtual noticeboard. Our virtual noticeboard has all the details related to learning schedules, school circulars, exam related information, Home study Plans etc.

EISB teachers conduct online assessments in an authentic manner through a real time monitoring platform.

Our Parent Teacher Meetings have been very effectively conducted in the virtual mode via Google Meets.

EISB not only engages students in academics, but also conducts regular classes of co-curricular activities like Yoga & fitness, Chess, Story telling, Fireless Cooking etc.
